Enrollment Process

Follow these steps:

  1. Decide if you think the The Appalachian Reading Center Inc. can help you.

  2. Begin the Registration and Assessment Process.​

    • Print out and complete the Intake and Student Information Forms. 

    • Pay the Intake Fee of $ 240.​

      • If necessary, contact the director to pay in installments or to find out about our partial scholarship options.​

      • Make out the check for $240 to the Appalachian Reading Center, Inc. and mail or deliver it in person.

      • Be sure to note the student's name on the check.

    • Once we receive your form and intake fee payment, we will contact you to schedule your child's first Zoom meeting with the Director.

    • We will administer a series of screening tools and assessments to determine the potential student's reading level and capacity to benefit from our program.                                             

  3. Determine a Plan of Study.

    • We will set up a follow-up meeting with the parent(s) or caretaker(s) to discuss assessment results.

    • At the meeting we will share the assessment results and recommend a Plan of Study:

      • Recommended sessions per week​

      • Individual or Small Group sessions

      • Amount of time per session​

      • Discussion of fees and partial scholarship options                                                            

  4. Officially enroll​.

    • Set up weekly appointments for the session and payment procedures.
