Virtual Tutoring has been a success!

We will be closed on the following dates:

Sat. Sept. 4 – Mon. Sept. 6, Labor Day Weekend

Sat. Oct. 9 – Mon. Oct. 11, Columbus Day Weekend

Thurs. Nov. 11 – Sat. Nov. 13, Veterans Day Weekend

Sat. Nov. 20 – Sat. Nov. 27, Thanksgiving Week

Fall Virtual Tutoring will not be canceled during inclement weather.

2020 Fall Session Starts August 17th

After a successful summer session offering tutoring at a distance, the Appalachian Reading Center will begin the fall session the week of August 17, 2020. All lessons will be virtual again through the close of the fall session on December 18, 2020. Fall Virtual Tutoring will not be canceled during inclement weather.

Fall Schedule:

Fall Session Starts: Mon. Aug. 17

Fall Session Ends: Fri. Dec. 18

Closed on the following dates:

• Labor Day Weekend: Sept. 5-7

• Veterans Day: Nov. 11

• Thanksgiving Week: Nov. 21-29

Making Use of Learning Ally

We miss seeing our students, but are so encouraged by seeing how many books they are "ear reading" using their audio book accounts through Learning Ally (our audiobook account)!

If you have not tried it and need help logging in, please contact us. One of our staff members will be happy to assist you.

We will continue to offer small homework packets for parents who have contacted us about wanting them. If you would like to receive a homework packet (and have not already set this up), please contact us at info@appalachianreading.org.
